From Horseshoe Trails Elementary Kindergarten Teacher Kristine Paul:
"Thank you for the wonderful CCUEF grant to support my, `Kick-Start in Kindergarten` project! It has been exciting to share these materials with my kindergarten team, our 60+ students and fill our classroom environments with hands-on and engaging materials. We want to provide the best opportunities for these young learners who are building their strong foundation for life-long learning.
The tabletop paper center will help us organize our ever-changing discovery and lesson materials. The shake and add number boxes make the best visuals and interactive practice for number sense building. The sentence strips are used throughout the year for visual aids in order to build language, writing and sequencing skills in all subject areas. We are also excited to dive into the `Sight Word Journals` in 3rd and 4th quarter, as our students secure important common sight words to help them in their phonics/reading, writing and spelling fluency skills.
Thanks again for these fantastic resources that will help light the path, engage the learner and pour confidence into many essential primary skills. Your partnership is valued and appreciated. Our students deserve our helping hearts, hands and community efforts to make their journeys the best they can be!"

Are you ready to rock?! Rock the District auditions will be here before you know it! We are looking for the next generation of talented musicians to take the stage and "rock for a reason" when Rock the District returns to Harold`s Corral May 2nd, 2026!

It`s our favorite day of the year! Today we were joined by students from @falconfoundation and made our way around CCUSD for Grant the District 2025! Thanks to our fundraising efforts and your support, we were able to grant over $73,000 to some very deserving CCUSD teachers! The teachers do not know we are coming to surprise them with this news and their enthusiasm and the student`s excitement are truly special. This is why we do what we do! Want to support our mission? 📣 Event Update from CCUEF 📣
After careful consideration, we have decided to reimagine Play for the District. Instead of a standalone event this fall, we’re excited to share that the spirit of this new event will be rolled into one of our most beloved traditions — Run the District — happening on January 24, 2026! 🏃♀️🏃♂️✨
By combining these efforts, we’re creating one large-scale event with multiple ways for students, families, and community members to get involved. This pivot allows us to maximize the impact of the event for all of our supporters and, most importantly, for CCUSD students and educators. 💙🤍
Stay tuned for more details on how you can “Run and Play for the District” with us in January. We can’t wait to see our community come together for a day of fun, fitness, and celebration — all in support of our schools!
